It isn’t, that is why we recommend using a long leash for dogs in training or for those masters of escaping. It gives them the freedom to explore while keeping them safe and within reach.
Multiple dogs per person require more responsibility for the handler. Please use good judgement. You know your dogs best, so make sure you’re able to manage them safely and respectfully around others.

Yes we do, as long as they are supervised and know how to behave around dogs – no running, no pulling tails, no screaming, no taking dog’s toys etc. and we advise all parents not to let their kids play with dogs they don’t know, since we can’t guarantee that all dogs that come to Monty’s are familiar with children.
Beach policies prohibit any aggressive behaviour, but owners have been very mindful of the dogs they bring and we really haven’t witnessed any major incidents since starting our business here. If problems should occur we advise guests to move as far away from each other on the beach as possible. With that in mind small tiffs may happen but we must remember to keep cool and maintain a positive atmosphere for the dogs’ sake and for ours.
Monty’s doesn’t have a direct sea entrance, however, a bit further down the beach is a public dog beach where dogs can freely enter the sea.
Of course you can! Just be aware that others may freely approach you and your dog.
As per beach policies, dogs in heat should not come to the beach as unwanted behaviour may disturb guests.

Monty’s Long Beach is conveniently situated next to public parking that provides 600 spaces. Please note that Monty’s Dog Beach & Bar does not own or manage the parking facilities or their availability.
We operate on a first-come, first-served basis. The only exception is for groups of 10 or more, in that case – reservations are required. To make a reservation, email us at booking.montys@gmail.com. Please note that reservations require a minimum spend of $50 per person for a period of 2 hours.
